The Oakes family built our Lodge in 1896. We are on five acres and boast 550 feet of captivating shoreline frontage on First Roach Pond, a pristine lake nearly eight miles long. We are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of north Maine woods, providing all of your vacation and recreational needs. The lodge is uniquely furnished in a semi-Victorian antique-Maine outdoor decor. We have spacious guest rooms to accommodate singles, couples, families or groups. For large parties of eight or more with a minimum three-day stay, you can reserve the lodge for your group only. Our room rates include a hearty Maine woods breakfast. If you choose, we have an American plan that includes a boxed lunch and dinner in the dining room or you can purchase individual meals.

Check-In/Check-Out
Check in is between 1:00 p.m. and 8 p.m. Late arrivals can be arranged, simply let us know in advance. Check out is 11:00 a.m.
Advance Deposit
A deposit of 30% of your total stay will guarantee your room. Visa, Master Card, or a personal check is accepted for deposit.
Cancellation Policy
Due to being a small lodge with only five rooms, in a wilderness destination area, last-minute cancellations greatly affect us. Cancellations within 30 days of your visit are nonrefundable.

Camping*

In addition to tenters, we welcome camper trailers and motorhomes. We offer electric hook-up for the campers. Drinking water is available, as are hot (!) showers and pit toilets. Tenters enjoy soft grassy waterfront sites and we have several sites able to accommodate large trailers or motorhomes. An easily accessible boat launch adjoins our campground, making launching and loading your boat a snap. Dock space is available.
