Waterfront Lodge and Restaurant

Northern Pride Lodge is a welcome option to the usual Greenville, Maine bed and breakfast accommodations and other Moosehead Lake lodging. Our nearby waterfront location on First Roach Pond in Kokadjo is one of the most scenic and pristine spots for your vacation getaways.

In addition to our waterfront lodging we also provide fine dining, open to the public as well as registered guests. Great food and views of the water and mountains, along with reasonable prices, are reasons our customers consider this waterfront restaurant one of the best restaurants in the Moosehead Lake region. Definitely a pleasant place to try on your Maine vacation to the Greenville area.

The Oakes family built our Lodge in 1896. We are on five acres and boast 550 feet of captivating shoreline frontage on First Roach Pond, a pristine lake nearly eight miles long. We are surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of north Maine woods, providing all of your vacation and recreational needs. The lodge is uniquely furnished in a semi-Victorian antique-Maine outdoor decor. We have comfortable guest rooms to accommodate singles, couples, families or groups.

You can enjoy one of our world-class meals in our dining room, which provides views of the grounds and shore front. Our meal plans include entrees such as roast duckling with an orange sauce, salmon fillet served with raspberry and maple syrup glaze and char-grilled steak with sautéed mushrooms. These are just a few of the meals that have given our lodge a reputation for being one of the finest places to stay and eat in the Greenville and Moosehead Lake area.

Our lodge's cozy and comfortable guest rooms accommodate singles, couples, families or groups. For large parties of eight or more with a minimum three-day stay, you can reserve the lodge for exclusive use by your group only.

Our room rates include a hearty Maine woods breakfast. If you choose, we have an American plan that includes a boxed lunch and dinner in the dining room or you can purchase individual meals.

Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor, has a four-poster queen and shared bath. Bedroom 2 is also on the ground floor and has two full beds and a private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. Bedrooms 3 is upstairs, has a queen and a single bed and shares two ground floor bathrooms. Bedrooms 4 and 5 are upstairs, each have four single beds and shares two ground floor bathrooms.

Rates

$110.00 per couple, per night; Single rate $65.00 per night

Children over 12 welcome

Full American Plan, add $49.00 per person/per day (breakfast, boxed lunch, dinner)

Bedroom with private bathroom (includes bubble tub) $125.00 per couple per night

Note: Maine State Lodging Tax of 7% will be added to your bill.


Check-In/Check-Out: Check in is between 1:00 p.m. and 8 p.m. Late arrivals can be arranged, simply let us know in advance. Check out is 11:00 a.m.

Advance Deposit:  A deposit of 30% of your total stay will guarantee your room. Visa, Master Card, or a personal check is accepted for deposit.

Cancellation Policy:  Due to being a small lodge with only five rooms, in a wilderness destination area, last-minute cancellations greatly affect us. Cancellations within 30 days of your visit are nonrefundable. Sorry, there are no refunds for early departures.

Hunting, fishing, moose safaris, hiking, canoeing and kayaking, photography, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, are just a few of the activities that have drawn sportsmen to our area for hundreds of years. Our moose safaris by canoe are among the most popular in the region. Enjoy a morning paddling the quiet backwaters, followed by breakfast at the lodge or end your day with an early evening paddle and dinner.

World class flyfishing is steps away on the Roach River and we also offer drift boat trips on the nearby East Outlet of the Kennebec River and the West Branch of the Penobscot River. Lake fishing is also available from our docks on the nearly 8-mile long First Roach Pond. Fish for Salmon, Brook Trout, Lake Trout (Togue), and Splake. Other local ponds also hold Smallmouth Bass. Ice fishing on area lakes provides yet another way to enjoy our winter months.

Our Maine black bear hunt and our moose hunt both cater to the hunter. Enjoy comfortable accommodations and fine meals while on your hunt of a lifetime! Large Whitetail deer roam our Maine woods as do coyote, snowshoe hare and ruffed grouse.
